Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) sector and the Navigation and Cockpit Systems (NACS) is offering a unique opportunity for candidates to jump-start their careers in program management in the Project Management field, in a Principal Project Manager capacity for the Lifecycle Product Sustainment organization. This position will be located onsite in Salt Lake City, UT.

As a Principle Project Manager, you will oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Review status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

The Ideal Candidate will:

• Be a high-energy strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to operate and communicate at both a strategic and a hands-on level as needed.
• Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
• Have excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills, as well as analytical, planning and presentation skills are required.
• Have a demonstrated ability to build and foster effective relationships with others.

Basic Qualifications for Principal Project Manager:

• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience; OR a master’s degree and 3 or more years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in managing projects in operations or logistics (i.e. cost, schedule, performance).
• Experience prioritizing and completing multiple tasks within critical deadlines.
• Experience influencing and driving results without direct authority of personnel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience utilizing Tableau.
• Experience supporting DoD/Government contracts.
• Global Customer service experience..
• Experience interpreting and using Database Analytics in decision making.
• Experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Experience in lifecyle and sustainment product lines.
• Experience using SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
• Advanced level MS Office Software Suite experience with emphasis on MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project.

Primary Level Salary Range: $81,400.00 - $122,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
