Western Connecticut State University’s Department of Nursing part-time University Assistant position will provide assistance to the Coordinators of the Nursing Program and the Department Chair with regards to onboarding of clinical paperwork and clearance for a variety of clinical sites.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Check Castlebranch and make sure all students are compliant with Castlebranch prior to going to clinical.
- Check the Team’s Folder/Sharepoint/Blackboard shell to make sure paperwork has been turned in that is needed prior to starting at clinical site.
- Communicate with Program Coordinators & Department Chair as appropriate and also students about their progress with onboarding paperwork.
- Help secure new clinical sites as needed and talk to by phone and or email these clinical sites.
- Check to make sure contracts are up to date and in proper order before allowing students to enter clinical site.
- If needed, send paperwork to clinical sites prior to students attending clinical. Coordinate signatures of students and coordinators as needed.
Work Hours, Salary & Benefits: 19 hours per week. $20.00 per hour: This is an in-person position with exact work schedule to be determined at time of hire. The position may be located at Western at Waterbury campus in Waterbury, CT or at the Midtown Campus in Danbury, CT.
