Job Description

Do you want to own infrastructure that powers both our IT environment and our product manufacturing? As our new Linux Specialist, you'll combine hands-on engineering with real technical ownership in a senior role, helping shape the platforms that keep Axis running securely and efficiently at our headquarters in Lund.

Your future team

You'll join IT OS Infrastructure Services, part of IT Infrastructure and Operations, and report to the Manager, IT OS Infrastructure Services.

What you'll do as Linux Specialist

Our platforms support both our enterprise IT services and the infrastructure behind our manufacturing environment. Keeping them robust is key to delivering the quality Axis is known for. In this role, you'll:

• Develop and maintain secure, resilient Linux-based platforms that support Axis' IT environment and product manufacturing

• Take technical ownership of key security and infrastructure services, including certificate and secrets management, cryptographic infrastructure and DNS

• Build and improve automation using infrastructure as code and Git-based workflows, with tools such as GitHub Actions and Ansible/AWX

• Evaluate new technologies and solutions, and shape the architecture of our platforms

• Plan lifecycle management so our platforms stay current and fit for purpose

• Work closely with operations teams to make sure solutions are well documented and supported

Who you are

You're an experienced Linux infrastructure professional who combines deep technical knowledge with a broad understanding of what it takes to run stable operations. You're curious and motivated by solving complex technical challenges. You take ownership and drive improvements, with a genuine interest in standardization, automation, and modern infrastructure practices. You're structured and self-driven, yet collaborative, and you enjoy sharing what you know and helping both people and platforms grow. 

We'd love to hear that you have:

• Solid experience of Linux infrastructure and administration in enterprise environments

• Experience designing and managing secure, highly available infrastructure platforms

• Hands-on experience with automation, infrastructure as code and version-controlled workflows, including strong scripting skills

• Professional working proficiency in Swedish and English, spoken and written

Bonus points for:

• Experience with security infrastructure, such as certificate and secrets management, cryptographic infrastructure or DNS
