Description
Accomplished investor and entrepreneur, currently winding down one venture while launching an exciting new business, is looking for an Executive Business Partner. This is an incredible opportunity to work directly alongside a high-energy, deeply experienced leader as she builds something new from the ground up, acting as both a strategic partner and a hands-on right hand. In this role, you'll provide support across all personal and professional endeavors: own a complex and constantly shifting calendar, coordinate travel, manage expenses, and provide some light support on her personal investments. You'll also take on some personal support, from coordinating an ongoing home project to helping manage day-to-day logistics. Someone who is highly proactive, curious, and energized by a fast-paced, high-stakes environment, and just as comfortable running point on calendar and travel as they are thinking strategically. Someone who is comfortable with direct feedback, real time pressure, and a role that spans both strategic and hands-on work. Strong AI fluency is a big plus, since this Executive is eager to use AI tools more effectively and wants a partner who can help her get there. This is a fully remote role with a strong preference for someone who can work Eastern or Central time (exec is located in Central Time and travels frequently to both costs), 160-200K DOE + health, vision, and dental benefits, bonus, 401K with matching, and flexible PTO.
Responsibilities:
- Own and manage a complex, ever-changing calendar, using judgment to prioritize competing demands without needing direction.
- Coordinate all travel logistics, including flights, hotels, and ground transportation, both domestic and international.
- Process expense reports and handle related financial administration.
- Manage a portion of the inbox, flagging high-priority items for direct attention while handling the rest independently.
- Act as a strategic thought partner, helping prioritize across a portfolio of active projects and initiatives.
- Support light administrative work tied to a personal investment portfolio, including basic financial processing such as wire transfers.
- Provide light personal support, including coordinating with vendors on an ongoing home project and helping manage select personal errands and scheduling.
- Act as a thought partner on how to bring more AI tools and workflows into day-to-day operations.
- Collaborate closely with a small existing admin team as the broader organization scales.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience supporting a founder, executive, or senior investor in a fast-paced environment, ideally in venture capital, private equity, or a high-growth startup, with direct ownership of calendar and travel management.
- Exceptional calendar management skills, with the ability to assess priorities and make judgment calls without being asked.
- Proactive and solutions-oriented, with an instinct to anticipate needs rather than wait for direction.
- Comfortable operating in a high-velocity, very direct environment, and able to take candid feedback in stride.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally across a range of stakeholders.
- Genuine curiosity about and comfort with AI tools, with an interest in helping bring more of them into daily workflows.
- Thrives amid ambiguity and shifting priorities, and comfortable with a role that spans both strategic oversight and tactical, in-the-weeds work.
- Available for quick responsiveness outside of standard business hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.
- Proficient with tools such as Notion, Microsoft Office, and calendaring/expense platforms; familiarity with Slack is a plus.
