Sales Agent – Telecommunications Upgrades

Location: Cape Town
Salary: R12,500 per month + Commission
Work Type: In-office
Working Hours: Rotational shifts between 08:00 – 17:00 and 11:00 – 20:00

About the Company

Our client is a well-established telecommunications provider expanding their sales team due to exciting new product offerings. They are looking for experienced, target-driven Sales Agents with a strong background in telecommunications upgrades to join their growing Cape Town team.

About the Role

This role focuses on engaging with existing customers, identifying upgrade opportunities, and recommending the most suitable telecommunications products and services. The successful candidate will have previous experience selling mobile, fibre or telecommunications upgrades in a contact centre environment and be passionate about delivering excellent customer service while consistently achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Sell telecommunications upgrades to existing customers

• Promote relevant products, services and value-added offerings

• Identify customer needs and recommend the best upgrade solutions

• Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs

• Handle objections confidently and close sales opportunities

• Maintain accurate customer records and update CRM systems

• Follow up on customer enquiries and sales opportunities

• Deliver an exceptional customer experience throughout the sales process

• Stay up to date with products, pricing, promotions and industry developments

Essential Requirements

• Matric

• Minimum 1–2 years' contact centre sales experience within telecommunications

• Proven experience selling telecommunications upgrades is essential

• Experience working with mobile, fibre or data products

• Strong sales, negotiation and objection handling skills

• Excellent verbal communication skills

• Computer literate and able to navigate multiple systems

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven contact centre
