As a Staff Platform Engineer, you will define and build the foundational AI platform capabilities that enable secure, scalable, and production-ready AI across the Lending domain. You will partner with domain architects, engineering teams, and product owners to embed AI into core services while ensuring enterprise-grade reliability, governance, and operational excellence.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering strategic regulatory reporting initiatives, supporting production operations, and driving the integration of our future-state data architecture. This position requires a combination of deep technical expertise, strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to lead and mentor offshore engineering teams.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and migrate application workloads into AWS and EKS
- Utilize core AWS services such as Compute (EC2, Lambda), Storage (S3, EBS), Networking (VPC, Route53), and Database (RDS including Aurora, NoSQL including DynamoDB, Neptune).
- Implement management, security, and cost optimization strategies using IAM, CloudWatch, and Security Groups.
- Apply the AWS Well-Architected Framework to ensure best practices in cloud architecture.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using TerraForm, CloudFormation, and AWS CDK.
- Observability, reliability engineering, and DevOps practices.
- Leverage specialized services such as Containers (ECS, Fargate, EKS) and Machine Learning and AI services (Amazon Textract, Amazon Bedrock, Sagemaker, Amazon Q).
- Demonstrate strong programming skills in Python (preferred) or another modern programming language.
- Build and operate enterprise AI platform capabilities for the Credit Risk and Lending domains.
- Design domain-aligned AI evaluations, prompt management, and guardrails to enable responsible AI adoption.
- Embed AI into core lending services through reusable platform capabilities, APIs, and BIAN-aligned architecture.
- Ensure AI services meet production-grade standards for reliability, security, governance, and operational SLAs.
- Drive continuous improvements in AI quality, latency, accuracy, and platform performance while mentoring engineering teams and promoting engineering best practices.
Essential Skills:
- Minimum 12+ years of experience with expert level knowledge,
- Practical industry experience in AWS cloud solutions.
- Proficiency in core AWS services and concepts.
- Solid knowledge in specialized AWS services.
- Machine Learning and AI services – Amazon Textract, Amazon Bedrock, Sagemaker, Amazon Q
- Scripting and programming using technologies such as Python, PowerShell, Bash, Go, Java, .NET.
- Experience with DevOps and CI/CD services and tools.
- Must have at least one current Associate Level+ certification in AWS (e.g., Solutions Architect Associate/Developer Associate or above)
Educational Qualifications: Bachelor of Engineering or B.Tech
