Position Details

Job Title: Housekeeper / Home Cleaner
Location: Ottawa, Ontario (Applicants must reside within the Ottawa area.)
Job Type: Full-Time, Part-Time, Casual

Position Overview

HealthOPM is seeking dependable, detail-oriented Housekeepers/Home Cleaners to provide professional cleaning services in private residences throughout Ottawa. If you take pride in creating clean, safe, and welcoming living spaces and enjoy working independently, we'd love to hear from you.

As this role involves traveling between client locations, applicants must have a valid driver's licence and reliable transportation.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine residential cleaning, including:
  • Dusting
  • Vacuuming
  • Sweeping and mopping floors
  • Cleaning windows and mirrors
• Clean and sanitize kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas, and other household spaces.
• Disinfect high-touch surfaces such as door handles, light switches, countertops, and railings.
• Complete laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and ironing when required.
• Maintain organized, clean, and safe living environments.
• Restock and organize cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Report maintenance concerns or safety hazards to the client or supervisor.
• Assist with light household tasks or errands, including grocery shopping, when requested.
• Follow HealthOPM's cleaning, safety, and infection prevention standards.

Qualifications

Required:

• Valid Ontario G driver's licence.
• Reliable vehicle with the ability to travel independently to client homes throughout Ottawa.
• Current Vulnerable Sector Check (issued within the last 6 months), or willingness to obtain one before employment.
• Physically able to perform housekeeping duties, including lifting, bending, standing, and repetitive cleaning tasks.
• Excellent time management and ability to work independently.
• Professional, dependable, and trustworthy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Assets:

• Previous housekeeping, residential cleaning, hotel housekeeping, or environmental services experience.
• Experience working with seniors, families, or healthcare clients.
