Position Description:
deciBel Research is seeking a Software Developer with versatile technical skills in computer science and computer engineering who will employ information system architecture, management, and automation techniques.
Responsibilities Include:
- Assist Senior Software Engineers with routine assignments.
- Apply fundamental knowledge of operating systems and programming languages.
- Work on well-defined problems and learn under direct supervision.
- Possesses sufficient writing skills to prepare and generate technical reports and other documentation pertinent to the position.
- Produce well-written designed, testable and efficient code that meets technical requirements.
- Ability to work closely with users to troubleshoot code defects and deploy timely fixes.
- Participate in a highly collaborative team environment, contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle.
Education Requirements:
BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar degree.
Experience Requirements:
- Up to four years of relevant software development experience.
- Experience maintaining and enhancing existing systems in the development of new features.
- Experience deploying new secure systems and networks
- Experience in applying and following Scrum framework principles
- Familiarity/Experience with native cloud development languages such as Python, Go, Java, and JavaScript
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps principle
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary to coordinate and communicate with executives, external partners, and project stakeholders
- Proficiency with cloud-native security tools (e.g., AWS CloudTrail, Azure Security Center, GCP Security Command Center) is preferred
