JOB TITLE: HIM Records Management Specialist - Riedman Campus, HIM - Health Information Management (Per Diem, Open/Day Shift)
STATUS: Per Diem
DEPARTMENT: HIM - Health Information Management
LOCATION: Riedman Campus - 100 Kings Highway South, Rochester, NY 14617
SCHEDULE: Open Availability, Day shift between the hours of 6:00 AM - 5:00 PM
SUMMARY
The HIM Records Management Specialist under the direction of the Manager of Document Lifecycle Management is responsible for the overall integrity of document scanning/indexing/corrections, forms control and inventory management, and organizational document storage, archiving and destruction. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain the accuracy, quality, security, and accessibility of paper and electronic medical records.
- Prepare, scan, index, and quality check medical records in accordance with departmental policies.
- Perform imaging and quality control audits to ensure data integrity, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
- Review and correct document errors, collaborating with vendors as needed.
- Manage paper chart retrieval, tracking, retention, and destruction in compliance with organizational and regulatory guidelines.
- Provide cross-functional support to other Health Information Management areas as needed.

- Experience with Adobe Pro and document management systems preferred.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1-2+ years of experience in Health Information Management or other Healthcare setting.

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant.
