About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a well-established insurance organization seeking an experienced Personal Auto Bodily Injury Claims Adjuster to join their growing claims team. This is an excellent opportunity for claims professionals who enjoy investigating complex bodily injury losses, making sound coverage and liability decisions, and negotiating favorable claim resolutions while delivering exceptional customer service.

This position is responsible for handling a dedicated caseload of personal auto bodily injury claims from initial investigation through final resolution. The ideal candidate will have strong technical claim handling experience, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to manage claims efficiently while maintaining high-quality customer interactions.

Compensation: $80,000–$85,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Investigate and manage a caseload of first and third-party personal auto bodily injury claims.
• Analyze coverage and interpret policy language to determine claim applicability.
• Conduct thorough liability investigations, including comparative negligence evaluations.
• Establish and maintain appropriate claim reserves throughout the life of each file.
• Evaluate medical records, treatment plans, wage loss documentation, and damages to determine claim value.
• Negotiate settlements directly with claimants, attorneys, and other involved parties.
• Coordinate with defense counsel and other vendors on litigated files when necessary.
• Maintain accurate claim documentation while ensuring compliance with company guidelines and state regulations.
• Communicate effectively with insureds, claimants, attorneys, medical providers, and internal stakeholders.
• Meet established quality, productivity, and customer service expectations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience handling Personal Auto Bodily Injury claims.
• Strong knowledge of coverage analysis, liability investigations, and injury claim evaluation.
• Experience managing bodily injury claims from initial investigation through resolution.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to evaluate exposures and achieve appropriate settlements.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining quality claim handling standards.
• Active adjuster license in home state (where required).
• Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent insurance claims experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Non-Standard Auto claims experience preferred.
• Experience handling higher-severity bodily injury exposures.
• Litigation handling experience.
• Multi-state claims handling experience.
• Experience working with attorney-represented injury claims.
• Additional adjuster licenses.
• Industry designations such as AIC, CPCU, or other insurance certifications.
