Job Summary
We are seeking a technically proficient Test Engineer with full product certification coordination and laboratory capability planning responsibilities to join our team. This role focuses on laboratory resource layout, test capability construction, and certification test system planning targeting multiple humanoid robot products including rotary joints, linear joints, dexterous hands and manipulators. You will be responsible for formulating testing schemes covering machinery, structure, electric circuit, electromagnetic compatibility and control software, building complete lab test equipment capacity, and coordinating full-cycle product certification testing. This role deeply collaborates with global R&D, quality and third-party certification teams, delivering standardized test verification and certification compliance solutions for all humanoid robot core components.
Initial training and onboarding will take place in Shenzhen for 3 months, where you will collaborate closely with R&D, test and certification teams to master product technical specifications, test workflows and global certification standards. Subject to business development progress and personal performance appraisal, the work base will be transferred to Shanghai after onboarding.
Key Responsibilities
1. Laboratory Test Capability Planning & Multi-type Robot Product Certification Test Scheme Design
- Carry out long-term and short-term planning of laboratory testing capacity targeting humanoid robot core products: rotary joints, linear joints, dexterous hand actuators, multi-degree-of-freedom dexterous manipulators, covering mechanical structure, hardware circuit, electromagnetic EMC, servo control software performance testing capacity construction.
- Analyze differentiated product characteristics of rotary joint, linear joint, dexterous hand and robotic arm, sort out corresponding domestic and international certification standard requirements, and design targeted full-item certification test schemes for mechanical, electrical, electronic and control indexes.
- Complete laboratory equipment demand planning, equipment selection verification, capacity evaluation and layout optimization; put forward procurement and expansion plans for torque test benches, power analyzers, EMC test chambers, environmental test cabinets, vibration test platforms, multi-axis motion control test systems and other dedicated testing equipment.
- Formulate hierarchical test resource allocation standards for different robot products, optimize equipment utilization efficiency, and establish lab capacity expansion roadmap matching new product iteration rhythm.
- Differentiate test verification items for rotary, linear, hand and arm products: mechanical indexes (backlash, stiffness, load capacity, repeated positioning accuracy), electrical circuit indexes (overvoltage, overcurrent, insulation safety), EMC electromagnetic interference & anti-interference performance, servo control software dynamic response, closed-loop stability, long-term durability fatigue testing, and map all test items to corresponding certification compliance clauses.
- Establish standardized test specification library classified by product form (rotary joint / linear joint / dexterous hand / manipulator), unify test method, data collection standard and certification report output template for each product line.
2. Lab Testing & Parameter Calibration (Certification Test Data Foundation)
- Independently complete joint module mechanical, electrical and control performance testing via torque testers, power analyzers, oscilloscopes, environmental chambers and other precision instruments; extract accurate test data as the core basis for certification test reports.
- Conduct full-item verification covering static stiffness, backslash, torque-speed efficiency curve, positioning accuracy, dynamic response, EMC, temperature rise, vibration and long-term durability; identify parameter deviations that fail standard certification requirements and feed back optimization suggestions to R&D.
- Formulate standardized lab operation SOPs aligned with national, international and client market certification standards; train lab operators to implement testing procedures strictly to meet certification data traceability requirements.
- Collaborate with internal quality teams to optimize test methods based on post-market feedback, upgrade test platforms to satisfy iterative certification standard updates.
3. Full-Lifecycle Product Certification Coordination
- Take end-to-end ownership of joint module global certification projects, including standard sorting, test sample preparation, third-party lab docking, test tracking, non-conformity rectification, certificate acquisition and filing management.
- Sort out applicable certification standards for target sales regions: domestic GB robot safety standards, EU CE/ISO 13482, IEC functional safety, EMC, UL safety certification and other overseas mandatory standards; form certification standard comparison documents for internal R&D reference.
- Organize pre-certification self-testing in the lab, predict certification risk points, propose design rectification schemes for non-compliant items, and follow up R&D revision and re-verification until meeting certification pass conditions.
- Communicate daily with third-party certification bodies, submit test data, technical files, BOM and schematic drawings required for certification; coordinate sample delivery, witness testing and supplementary testing arrangements.
- Compile complete certification technical dossier, including test raw data, formal test reports, standard comparison sheets, rectification records and official certificates; build internal certification knowledge base for repeated product iteration reference.
- Track real-time updates of domestic and international robot safety, EMC and mechanical component certification standards, timely alert R&D and quality teams of standard revision impacts on existing and new products.
4. Cross-Team & Overseas Technical Coordination
- Document all test plans, equipment capacity assessment records, certification rectification records and certification outcomes for internal knowledge sharing and audit traceability.
- Align with engineering teams of JE joint ventures, unify cross-factory test benchmarks and certification implementation specifications to realize consistent compliance output.
- Undertake overseas business trips for third-party certification witness testing, international standard technical exchanges as required.
- Participate in internal cross-department review meetings (design review, test capacity review, certification risk review), put forward test equipment layout and certification compliance suggestions from the early product development stage.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Automation or related disciplines;
- 3–5 years working experience in robotics/automation hardware product testing, lab construction or certification coordination; candidates with over 5 years lab capacity planning and robot component certification project experience are highly preferred.
- Solid foundation in robotics system, rotary/linear joint mechanical structure, dexterous hand drive unit, servo drive and EtherCAT/CAN bus communication; hands-on testing experience of humanoid robot joints, hands and manipulators is a plus.
- Familiar with robot industry certification standards (ISO 13482, IEC 61508, CE, UL, GB/T robot safety standards), capable of independently organizing pre-certification self-test and third-party certification docking work.
- Skilled in planning and operating testing instruments such as torque sensors, power analyzers, oscilloscopes, environmental test chambers, EMC test equipment; able to analyze mechanical, electrical and control test data to judge certification compliance.
- Capable of lab capacity planning, test bench layout design and special test equipment demand demonstration for multi-type robot core components.
- Willing to take up 3 months: Based in Shenzhen, fully embedded with R&D, test and certification teams for systematic product training, standard learning and lab capacity planning practice.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary and full benefits package including commercial health insurance, statutory paid leave, performance bonus and systematic professional training & certification reimbursement support.
- Unique opportunity to participate in cutting-edge humanoid robot joint, dexterous hand and manipulator projects, cooperate with global cross-regional teams and accumulate full-process lab planning and international product certification experience.
- Flat and supportive corporate culture with one-on-one mentorship from senior test & certification engineers to accelerate capability growth.
- Clear promotion channel in the booming humanoid robot industry, with dual development paths of test technical expert and certification & lab management.
