Associate Security Analyst

As an Associate Security Analyst within Global Cybersecurity Operations – Segment, you will support the collection, analysis, and interpretation of information to identify patterns, surface risks, and detect anomalies across the environment. This role provides hands-on exposure to cybersecurity operations while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and cyber resilience.

Position Responsibilities: 

• Execute defined processes with a strong emphasis on accuracy, quality, and consistency of output.
• Document, maintain, and continuously improve process workflows and operating procedures.
• Identify, recommend, and contribute to efficiency improvements and enhancement opportunities using data analytics, automation, and process optimization techniques.
• Stay current on emerging technologies, evolving cyber threats, and key business drivers impacting security operations.
• Perform cybersecurity operational activities assigned within Segment Cybersecurity Operations.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a corporate or professional work environment
• Familiarity with leveraging AI, machine learning, and automation tools to improve operational efficiency, enhance data analysis, and strengthen cyber defense capabilities (e.g., anomaly detection, alert tuning, process automation).

• Strong analytical mindset with proven ability to collect, interpret, and assess data.
• High attention to detail and accuracy, even in fast-paced or high-pressure situations.
• Self-motivated, resourceful, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Amenability to work in night shift (8:00PM to 5AM PHT) and hybrid work arrangement in Quezon City (3x onsite)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, JavaScript)
• Strong PC and productivity tool proficiency, particularly Microsoft Office (Excel, including VBA/Macros).
• Familiarity with writing, executing, and analyzing KQL/SQL queries.
• Foundational knowledge of computer networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, network security principles).
• Experience or exposure to cybersecurity operations, SOC, incident response, or cyber monitoring activities
