Job Summary
SummaryResponsible for preserving and managing historical personal papers, photographs, vintage medical instruments and other records and archives, ensuring they are accessible to the public, researchers, and stakeholders.

Essential Functions
-Acquire collections and manage relationships with donors
-Collect, preserve, and manage historical records, including documents, photographs, artifacts, and other materials.
-Catalog and classify archives according to established standards and procedures.
-Provide legacy-planning information to clinicians and staff who may be considering donations
-Create and maintain databases and indexes to facilitate access to archives.
-Provide reference and research services to the public, researchers, and stakeholders, including needed material for press releases, media requests, publications, videos, etc.
-Develop and implement policies and procedure for the management and preservation of archive
-Manage projects to digitize and preserve digital records and archives.
Qualifications
Education
Master's Degree Library and Information Science required or Master's Degree Related Field of Study required

Licenses and Credentials
Experience
experience in archives or special collections setting 3-5 years required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of archival principles, theories, and best practices.
- Strong organizational and management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift boxes and move archive materials, as needed.
