Job Summary
Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Auto/GL Liability Claims Unit Manager to lead a team of claims professionals in ensuring the execution of a service model, achieving production standards, and delivering superior outcomes. This role is pivotal in fostering relationships with agencies, policyholders, and employees, while driving operational excellence and strategic insights.
Compensation Package
- Salary Range: $120,000 - $135,000

Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, and provide performance feedback to direct reports to ensure productivity and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with agents, policyholders, and internal stakeholders to provide strategic insights on claims and the book of business.
- Offer technical guidance on claims, including investigation, coverage identification, liability evaluation, and litigation management.
- Develop and execute proactive plans of action to resolve claims within guidelines and delegated authority.
- Ensure accurate financial exposure by establishing and maintaining proper reserves.
- Conduct file audits and reviews to identify trends and developmental opportunities.
- Lead cross-functional teams to resolve issues and implement preventive solutions.
- Analyze and interpret data to improve claims operations and outcomes.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience handling complex Commercial Auto and General Liability claims.
- Proven expertise in bodily injury claims, from investigation to settlement.
- Litigation experience is required.
- Licensure in jurisdictions such as CA, TX, FL, GA, or NY is highly desired (assistance provided for licensing if needed).
- Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and achieve results through others.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Steady work history is essential.
- Carrier experience is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in claim investigation, coverage analysis, loss assessment, and claim reserving/settlement.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to travel overnight up to 25% and daily between locations.
