Job Description:

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Solution Manager - Satcom Services (m/f) to join our atcom Services & Support department based in Toulouse, France.

As a Solution Manager Satcom Services at Airbus Defence and Space, you will be responsible for defining and developing innovative satellite communication solutions which fits Space Digital future strategy and markets.

You will play a pivotal role in the entire solution lifecycle, from conceptualization to deployment and ongoing service management.

Your challenges:

• Closely interact with customers, product developers and managers, engineering, procurement and sales organisations to ensure the best market fit of our portfolio Secure Sales involvement for an accurate requirements definition / CONOPS, supporting the development of Business Cases and input into Key Campaigns for our satcom services solutions and related integration capabilities

• Support Sales in customer RFP shaping and optimisation, informing Sales about actual Space Digital capabilities vs. customer expectations

• Maximise the competitiveness and profitability of solutions (make / buy / partner decisions, synergies), guiding the product management team in portfolio decisions and ensuring repeatability and alignment with Airbus Defence and Space Engineering roadmaps

• Steer R&D allocation for the solution and associated building blocks, influencing R&T spend for early developments

• Provide consultancy (internal and external) on topics related to the domain.

Your profile:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in solution management, product management, or technical pre-sales within the satellite communication industry

• Demonstrable expertise in SATCOM ground segment technologies, space segment capabilities, and network architectures.

• Strong understanding of various SATCOM applications and services

• Strong understanding of customer and satellite services market dynamics and requirements

• Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and concise business propositions

• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

• Large autonomy

• Fluent in English and in French.

This position requires a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
