The ideal candidate will have in-depth expertise in Splunk, Zabbix, and Elastic, combined with experience in tool integrations, API-driven automation, and end-to-end observability frameworks. This role requires both architectural vision and the ability to deliver scalable, resilient, and automated monitoring solutions across hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructures.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and architect enterprise-scale monitoring and observability solutions using Splunk, Zabbix, Elastic, and other monitoring tools.
• Define monitoring strategy, standards, and frameworks covering infrastructure, applications, cloud, and security monitoring.
• Lead tool integrations and ensure seamless data exchange between monitoring, alerting, ITSM, and automation platforms.
• Leverage APIs and automation frameworks to streamline monitoring configuration, data ingestion, and alerting workflows.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business and technical requirements into monitoring architecture.
• Define dashboards, alerting policies, correlation rules, and KPIs for proactive monitoring.
• Drive root cause analysis, event correlation, and performance optimization initiatives.
• Provide SME-level expertise on tool upgrades, capacity planning, and scaling strategies.
• Evaluate new tools and technologies to strengthen the observability ecosystem.
• Document architecture, standards, and best practices, while mentoring engineering teams.
Required Skills & Experience
• 10+ years of IT experience with at least 5+ years in monitoring and observability architecture.
• Hands-on expertise in Splunk (ITSI preferred), Zabbix, and Elastic (ELK stack/Elastic Observability).
• Strong knowledge of tool integrations with ITSM (ServiceNow, Opsgenie, PagerDuty) and other enterprise platforms.
• Proficiency in API-based integrations and scripting/automation (Python, PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform).
• Deep understanding of infrastructure monitoring (servers, networks, databases, cloud) and application performance monitoring (APM).
• Experience designing alert correlation, event noise reduction, and automated remediation workflows.
• Knowledge of log management, metrics, traces, and distributed observability concepts.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Certifications in Splunk Architect/Administrator, Elastic Certified Engineer, or equivalent.
• Experience with cloud monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, AWS CloudWatch, GCP Operations Suite).
• Familiarity with container and microservices monitoring (Kubernetes, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Exposure to AIOps platforms for event correlation and predictive analysis. (ID078)
