Description

The Distribution Risk function (L1B) is responsible for ensuring that the company’s distribution channels adhere to competency standards and operate ethically and compliantly. This person is part is of the Sales Process and Assurance team. This role focuses on driving the execution of the function’s governance capabilities through reviews, leveraging data analytics and managing change initiatives to ensure the proper execution of comprehensive evaluations and sound decisions on independent assessment of execution quality and enforce remediation discipline.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Govern Sales Supervisory Frameworks

  • Develop and maintain risk-integrated sales supervisory standards, policies, procedures, SOPs, and playbooks to ensure effective oversight, regulatory compliance, and consistent customer outcomes.

Establish Sales Validation and Quality Assurance Practices

  • Define and implement sales validation methodologies covering fact-finding, needs analysis, product recommendations, and sales documentation reviews, including governance of the sales call-back framework, meeting of close monitoring measures

Build Supervisory Capability and Best Practices

  • Strengthen supervisory effectiveness by establishing competency standards and best practices for coaching, joint fieldwork, sales validation, call-back and sales quality reviews of the distribution.

Monitor Supervisory Quality and Provide Risk Insights

  • Assess the quality and effectiveness of supervisory activities, identify control gaps and emerging sales conduct risks, and provide actionable recommendations through data analytics and management reporting.

Drive Continuous Process Improvement

  • Lead initiatives to enhance the efficiency, consistency, and effectiveness of sales supervision and assurance processes through data-driven insights, control enhancements, and adoption of industry best practices.

  • Undertake ad-hoc tasks, projects or reviews as directed by the Team Lead.

Required Qualification:

  • At least 7 years of experience within insurance, financial services, wealth management, or other regulated industries.

  • Experience with sales conduct risk management, supervisory reviews, or quality assurance programs.

  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements relating to distribution channels.

  • Experience with data analytics and reporting tools.
