We are seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our company on-site, ensuring high-level precision, maintenance, and troubleshooting for complex instrumentation systems. What Will You Be Doing:
- Perform field service and instrument calibration on site.
- Read and understand process and instrument diagrams, instrument loop sheet, and vendor manuals.
- Troubleshooting and repairing various instruments and calibration.
- Test the accuracy of flow meters, pressure gauges, temperature indicators, controllers, and radiation detectors to locate defective components in systems by using test equipment.
- Traces out and tests electronics, solid-state, and vacuum tube circuitry and components to locate defective parts accordingly.
- Removes defective instruments from the system, decontaminates, disassembles, and cleans instruments, and replaces defective parts, using hand tools.
- Reassembles instruments and replaces instruments in the system using hand tools.
- Lubricates instruments and replaces defective wiring and tubing.
- Calibrate readings on instruments according to standard and adjust phasing and align stages to ensure accuracy of recording and indicating function.
- Records calibration made, parts and components used, and inventory of parts on hand.
- Prepares schematic drawings, sketches, and reports to reflect changes or alterations made in instruments, circuits, and systems.
- Lays out, installs, and places into service new metering, controlling, and recording devices, calibrating as required by customers.
- Responsible for executing project implementation in accordance to agreed customer requirements and always refer to the established ISO 9001 Quality Manual, Procedures Manuals, and Work Instruction Manuals.
- Perform all other duties, activities, and responsibilities that may be assigned by a superior whenever necessary from time to time.
Do You Have What We Are Looking For:
- Possess a Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Process Control & Instrumentation.
- Competence in reading process diagrams, instrument loop sheets, and vendor manuals.
- Expertise in testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating flow meters, pressure gauges, and indicators.
- Willing to travel.
