The Position

As our Communications & Corporate Affairs Partner, you will spearhead initiatives to engage stakeholders, influence policy, and articulate the organization's dedication to advancing health in line with Roche Philippines’ priorities. You will develop and implement strategic communication advocacy and campaigns that resonate with diverse audiences, driving our narrative with focused intent and clarity. This is a unique opportunity to lead critical initiatives, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and make a tangible difference in the healthcare landscape.  

What you will be working on:

In this role, you will lead company advocacy and corporate reputation management by delivering purpose-driven communications. You will ensure a consistent narrative across internal and external stakeholders, markets, and cultures, collaborating cross-functionally to align communication strategies with healthcare and social sector priorities.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to.

  • Strategic Communication & Brand Ambassadorship: Develops, enhances, and executes communication strategies for assigned therapeutic areas and corporate branding. Ensures Roche is flawlessly represented in all internal and external messaging, upholding a consistent commitment to excellence.

  • Influence & Ecosystem Engagement: Manages interactions and builds strategic relationships with external media, patient groups, policymakers, and academics to advance advocacy goals and increase the company’s share of voice.

  • Crisis Leadership & Reputation Management: Owns the communications strategy and execution during crisis situations, acting as the primary guardian of corporate reputation to mitigate risk and protect the brand.

  • Championing Best Practices & Standards: Leads the development, implementation, and management of best-in-class communication policies, procedures, and templates to drive consistency, operational efficiency, and high-quality standards.

  • Omnichannel Reach & Media Management: Manages and leverages Roche Philippines’ media channels to their fullest potential, expanding reach and impact through both traditional and digital platforms.

  • Employee Engagement & Internal Culture: Leads internal communications and employee engagement initiatives, utilizing local and network resources to foster an inclusive, purpose-driven culture.

  • Measuring Success & Continuous Improvement: Develops metrics and mechanisms to measure the results of communication plans and tactics, sharing best practices and identifying opportunities for ongoing optimization across the network.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Acts as a high-agility partner, collaborating with cross-functional teams (locally and globally) and external partners to ensure communication activities directly support the achievement of business objectives.

Who you are:

You are a Corporate Communications expert who demonstrates:

  • Healthcare Passion: A strong understanding of health and pharmaceutical concepts, universal healthcare, access to medicines, and the building blocks of health, with proven experience in driving related advocacy initiatives

  • Strategic Agility: Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment. You're a strategic thinker with a knack for systems-level organization

  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of market dynamics, organizational drivers, and financial indicators to make informed decisions that align with broader business goals.

  • Leadership Expertise: Senior-level experience in a media, journalism, marketing, or advertising-related field, with at least 2 years of experience leading cross-functional teams and/or managing complex projects

  • Digital & Media Savvy: A solid grasp of offline and online media, digital strategies, and the Philippine healthcare landscape

  • Communication Excellence: Outstanding communication and presentation skills in English and Filipino, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely.

  • Relationship Builder: A collaborative team player with exceptional interpersonal skills and a strong professional network.

  • Growth Mindset: A passion for continuous learning and a proactive approach to embracing new challenges.

  • Drive & Integrity: Self-driven, proactive, and agile, with a high level of accountability and unwavering integrity.

You have:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a business,  communication or journalism  related fields (preferred)

  • 5 years or equivalent experience in similar capacity, ideally within the healthcare industry

  • Proficiency in English communication

  • Computer literacy and proficiency

  • People Skills including Influencing and Inspiring
