| CANDIDATES MUST MEET ONE OF THE FOLLOWING OPTION REQUIREMENTS: | |
| OPTION 1 | Must possess a valid/active CA Child Development Associate Teacher Permit (or higher-level permit) issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC). |
| OPTION 2 | Must possess twelve (12) semester (18 quarter) core units of completed college coursework in Early Childhood Education or Child Development which must include all of the following courses:
***Coursework must be completed with a grade of “C” or better (“pass” and “credit” grades meet this requirement). Transcripts MUST be submitted.*** |

| OPTION 1 | Copy of the required valid/active CA Child Development Associate Teacher Permit (or higher-level permit). |
| OPTION 2 | Copy of transcripts with qualifying coursework as indicated above (unofficial are accepted and must be legible). |

| EDUCATION | Qualifying degrees or coursework must be completed at a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education. Degrees or coursework completed outside the U.S. must be accompanied with an evaluation report from a reputable credential evaluation service showing equivalency to degrees or coursework completed at a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education. (Must be attached if applicable.) For education evaluation services, refer to Naces or CTC. |
