FIELD ASSESSOR RESIDENTIAL

The following duties are not intended to serve as a complete comprehensive list of all duties performed in this classification, only a representative summary of the primary duties and responsibilities. Employees(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed and may be required to perform additional, position-specific duties.

• Gather data on real property including, but not limited to, measuring, drawing and computing of structures and areas, physical inspection of exterior and at times, interior building.
• Taking photos of all improvements on property.
• Keeping work organized to facilitate timely completion of such.

Employment Standards

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• St Clair County, Il resident
• Valid Illinois Driver’s License

• County policies and procedures
• Field Crew principles, protocols, and standards.
• Field Crew equipment.
• Department operations relative to area of assignment.
• Locating properties utilizing county maps.
• Produce drawings of buildings.
• To work without direct supervision.

• Coordinating and performing a variety of field crew functions.
• Responding to public inquiries and providing contact information regarding departmental services, programs, policies, and procedures.
• Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other staff and the general public
• Meeting deadlines and working through frequent interruptions and inquiries.
• Communicating effectively verbally.
• Strong sense of professionalism and discretion required.
