SUMMARY:
The Inventory Control Supervisor will oversee inventory accuracy, material flow reconciliation, and cycle count processes. This is a hands-on analytical leadership role focused heavily on inventory balancing, reporting, reconciliation, and process oversight.
The ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills, experience in accounting or billing functions involving reconciliation and balancing, and 1–2 years of entry-level leadership experience. This position will supervise a team of 4–5 employees and lead annual physical inventory and pre-count projects while ensuring ongoing cycle count accuracy and inventory integrity.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor and assess the flow of materials to ensure accurate inventory balances.
- Perform inventory reconciliation between system records and physical counts.
- Investigate, analyze, and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Partner with accounting to ensure inventory balances align with financial records.
- Review transactions impacting inventory including receipts, adjustments, transfers, and billing-related movements.
- Prepare variance reports and provide root cause analysis.
- Cross train team members.
- Follow standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Supervise and support a team of 4–5 inventory associates.
- Provide direction, training, and coaching to entry-level staff.
- Assign and monitor daily cycle count activities.
- Ensure team adherence to inventory control procedures and accuracy standards.
- Conduct performance feedback and contribute to employee development.
- Inventory in other company facilities and/or partner facilities as needed.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position does have direct reports.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Billing/Accounting, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field a plus.
- Must have English language proficiency.
- Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Experience leading a team of 2-5 direct reports.
- 1-2 years of entry-level leadership experience.
OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a valid driver's license and/or ID.
- Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift to 50 pounds, bend, and walk and climb stairs.
- Varying work schedules to meet client demand is sometimes required.
- Must be able to work in hot and cold climates.
