The Medical Site Director (SD) is a member of the Leadership Team. SDs support the mission and values of CAPS and Maple City by overseeing clinical site operations and supervising clinical and operational staff within their areas of administration.   

Supervisory Responsibilities :

Supervisory responsibilities vary by site and may include: Medical Assistant Coordinator-Nurse, Nurse Coordinator, Operations Assistant, Document Management, Interpreter Lead, Group Facilitator, oversight of the mobile health unit, and the administrative supervision of the site’s medical, nutrition, and/or behavioral health providers.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Fosters a culture of high trust, collaboration, hospitality, mission-focus, continuous improvement, curiosity and learning at their site, and organizationally. Projects a positive image of the organization to employees, patients, and community.  
• Oversees the day-to-day operations at their site, addressing issues, leading in emergencies, and ensuring efficient and productive site operations.  
• Collaborates with other site and organizational leaders to ensure consistent, safe and quality patient care is provided, scheduling and leading meetings within their purview to obtain this. 
• Manages clinic schedules for their site in the electronic medical record, ensuring proper staffing and smooth and efficient operations.  
• Communicates clearly, timely, and with a values-focused mindset to all stakeholders, including other staff, patients, and community members.   
• Hires, supervises, reviews staff performance and ends employment for all supervisees in collaboration with Human Resources. 
• Oversees and is responsible for ordering and maintenance of supplies, equipment, and vaccines for site clinical operations, in coordination with others.   
• Refers matters relating to patient access, clinical decision making, IT, finance, and infrastructure to appropriate supervisors (this position does not include primary responsibility of these areas). 
• Manages site needs within the policies and budget adopted by organization leadership and board. 
• Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills 
• Other duties that support our shared work, as assigned.

Requirements

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and EHR  
• Bilingual: Spanish/English preferred

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in the area of nursing, public health, or health administration.  
• Clinical training strongly preferred, particularly RN, job will be adjusted accordingly to ensure proper clinical oversight.  
• Motivational Interviewing training preferred; training supported  
• Trauma Informed Care training preferred; training supported  
• Leadership or supervisory experience required; strong experience may override this requirement

• Ability to lift up to 10 pounds 
• Ability to perform prolonged periods of time in front of a computer
