As a Floating Bartender at Jekyll Island Club Resort, you’ll be part of our premier bartending team, with a primary focus on Banquets and special events. When events aren’t on the schedule, you’ll take your skills throughout the resort, stepping behind the bar at our Food & Beverage outlets wherever your talent is needed.

The JOB

Jekyll Island Club Resort is seeking experienced, polished, and service-driven Floating Bartenders to join our Food & Beverage team.

Our Floating Bartenders serve as premier resort-wide Bartenders, providing elevated beverage service for our Banquets, weddings, private functions, and special events, while also supporting our Food & Beverage outlets throughout the resort when additional coverage is needed.

Banquets and special events will be the primary focus of this position. When not scheduled for an event, Floating Bartenders may be scheduled at one of our resort outlets based on business needs, providing the opportunity to work across a variety of upscale and high-volume service environments.

We are looking for Bartenders who are confident behind the bar, knowledgeable in cocktails and beverage service, and able to seamlessly transition between elegant weddings, large-scale events, private functions, and our resort restaurants and bars.

What You'll Do:

• Provide exceptional beverage service for Banquets, weddings, private events, and special functions
• Serve as a floating Bartender across resort Food & Beverage outlets when additional coverage is needed
• Prepare cocktails, beer, wine, and other beverages accurately and efficiently
• Deliver polished, engaging, and professional guest service
• Properly set up, maintain, and break down bars for events and outlet shifts
• Maintain knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and resort beverage offerings
• Follow responsible alcohol service, sanitation, and cash-handling procedures
• Adapt quickly to different venues, service styles, and event needs
• Partner with Banquet and outlet teams to create memorable guest experiences
• Maintain a flexible schedule based on events, weekends, holidays, and resort business needs

Requirements

• Previous bartending experience preferred
• Positive, upbeat personality with a team-oriented attitude

• Knowledge of basic cocktails, beer, wine, and responsible alcohol service preferred
• Must have flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Weekend availability is required; applicants unable to work weekends will not be considered.
