Overview

ROLE AT A GLANCE: 

The Research Scientist - Scientific Affairs will support the development and execution of scientific, strategic and marketing communication initiatives, evidence generation activities and literature surveillance. The role requires a strong research background combined with an interest in leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital tools to enhance scientific insights, evidence synthesis, content generation, and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate should possess expertise in scientific research, medical writing, data analysis, and an insight into the emerging AI technologies applicable to life sciences and healthcare.

 

HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT: 

• Conduct comprehensive literature reviews and evidence assessments from peer-reviewed journals, clinical trials, and scientific databases.
• Develop scientific communication materials, including:  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including formulation, sourcing, Regulatory, Marketing and Strategy.
• Monitor scientific developments and competitive landscape in relevant functional areas of interest for business.
• Interpret clinical trial outcomes and summarize key findings for internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist in developing scientific strategies based on emerging evidence.
• Support implementation of Generative AI applications in scientific content development and review processes.
• Explore opportunities to automate routine scientific affairs workflows using AI and digital technologies.
• Stay current on advancements in AI, machine learning and their healthcare applications.
• Support scientific interactions with healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, and academic partners.
• Assist in organizing advisory boards, scientific meetings, and educational programs.
• Respond to scientific information requests while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Education

MSc or PhD in Life Sciences domain (Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Pharmacology, Biostatistics, Public Health, Biomedical Sciences, Related scientific discipline)

 

Experience

• 7+ years of work experience (Inclusive of PhD experience if PhD is completed) in Scientific Affairs, Medical Affairs, Clinical Research, Medical Writing, or Evidence Generation. Experience in scientific literature evaluation and research methodologies. Exposure to AI applications, data analytics, or digital health tools is preferred.
