Student Engagement - Thunderground Student Assistant (NFWS)

Grand Canyon University is seeking a student assistant to support GCU's mission through Student Engagement's event space and entertainment center: Thunderground.

Purpose within the Organization:

The purpose of this position is to assist students, staff, and guests at Thunderground with enthusiastic customer service in order to provide a positive and entertaining atmosphere, while accomplishing daily responsibilities to contribute to the ultimate goal of building community at Grand Canyon University.

Responsibilities Related to Purpose:

• Provide customer service in Thunderground.
• Hand out and retrieve gaming equipment including (but not limited to) billiards, ping pong, shuffleboard, etc.
• Set up and tear down tables, chairs, stage and other heavy miscellaneous equipment (30+ lbs).
• Assist students and staff during various social events.
• Attend to the general cleanliness and maintenance of both the desk space and the recreational area.

• Ability to take direction.
• Ability to work well with co-workers.

Grand Canyon University is committed to a student first policy.

Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:

• Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master's program.
• Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student. 
• Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.

You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.

Pay Rate: Minimum Wage
