Job Details
This role is in support of Cencora's wholesale distribution services in Europe operating through our Alliance Healthcare business.
Responsibilities:
Lead board and committee operations, including agendas, minutes, resolutions, statutory filings, delegations of authority, and signatory frameworks
Coordinate with executives and boards on director duties, corporate formalities, and legal entity governance, ensuring alignment on scope, sequencing, and resources
Translate regulatory requirements into scalable policies, standards, contract templates, and other reusable tools, ensuring version control and adoption
Oversee legal risk assessments for new markets, products, and transactions, and define appropriate metrics and controls to monitor compliance performance
Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders and approved vendors to implement controls across privacy, anti-corruption, competition, trade, and ethics programs
Direct responses to audits, investigations, and regulatory inquiries, including management of external counsel to ensure quality, cost discipline, and effective knowledge transfer
Negotiate balanced outcomes in complex commercial and corporate matters
Provide clear, practical legal guidance and recommendations to both legal and non-legal stakeholders
Instruct and mentor professionals through targeted training and communities of practice to scale standards across the function

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in law, business, finance, accounting, risk management, or a related field, or equivalent experience required
Master's degree in law, business, public policy, or a related field or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred
8+ years of experience in corporate/commercial law, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance required
Certification in compliance, privacy, or corporate governance (e.g., CCEP, CCEP-I, CIPP, CIPM, CGI/ICSA), or equivalent preferred
Hybrid working availability required - office location: Chessington, Surrey
Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging to different audiences
Sound judgment and strong decision-making skills in complex and sensitive matters
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Ability to influence and align senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
Collaborative approach and ability to work effectively in an international matrix environment
Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and scalable solutions
Strong mentoring and coaching capability
