Compensation: $190,000 - $230,000 base + bonus (target ~20%), DOE

Position Summary:
The VP of Information Technology leads SunPower's Development, Infrastructure, Security, and AI functions, setting technology strategy and direction for the company as it continues to grow through acquisition. This role owns the roadmap for application development, cloud and on-prem infrastructure, cybersecurity and compliance, and the adoption of AI across the business, while building and leading a high-performing IT organization that scales with SunPower's growth.
Essential Duties:
- Own the overall IT strategy and roadmap across development, infrastructure, security, and AI, aligned to company growth and acquisition integration goals.
- Lead and develop managers and teams across software development, IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and emerging AI initiatives.
- Set architecture standards and technology direction for internal systems, integrations, and customer-facing platforms.
- Own enterprise cybersecurity strategy, risk management, and compliance posture, including incident response readiness.
- Drive infrastructure strategy across cloud and on-prem environments, balancing reliability, cost, and scalability.
- Identify and lead the adoption of practical AI and automation opportunities across HR, sales, operations, and support functions.
- Partner with executive leadership to align IT investment with business priorities and budget.
- Lead technology due diligence and systems integration for acquired companies.
- Manage vendor relationships and IT budget, ensuring cost-effective delivery of technology services.
- Establish and monitor KPIs for uptime, security posture, project delivery, and team performance.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including at least 5 years managing multiple technology functions (development, infrastructure, and security).
- Implementation or support experience of Netsuite or Salesforce.COM across entire enterprise.
- Proven experience in using SDLC framework for new software product development.
- Proven experience in working with business teams, help analyze requests for software enhancements and define a process to evaluate and prioritize.
- Ability and work experience managing remote workers including off shore teams.
- Proven experience building and scaling IT organizations, ideally in a multi-site or multi-brand company that has grown through acquisition.
- Strong working knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP), and modern software development practices.
- Demonstrated experience evaluating and deploying AI/automation tools in a business context.
- Track record of partnering directly with executive leadership on technology strategy and budget.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical strategy for non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience; relevant certifications (CISSP, PMP, cloud certifications) a plus.
- Good understanding of overall IT Costs including labor, infrastructure, costs and manage all that to an annual operating plan.
- Experience in residential solar, home services, or a similarly fast-paced, multi-location industry preferred.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Regular periods of sitting or standing may be required by this position. In addition, this position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
