What you will have an opportunity to do:

Your Role:

  • Assume interim leadership of the Housekeeping department for assigned hotel or resort properties as needed.
  • Oversee daily housekeeping operations, ensuring guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces consistently meet brand standards and cleanliness expectations.
  • Lead, coach, and support housekeeping supervisors, inspectors, room attendants, housepersons, and laundry associates.
  • Drive exceptional guest satisfaction through attention to cleanliness, room quality, and service excellence.
  • Monitor labor productivity, scheduling, payroll, and staffing levels to align with operational and budgetary goals.
  • Conduct regular room inspections and quality assurance audits to ensure compliance with company and brand standards.
  • Assess housekeeping challenges quickly and implement corrective action plans to improve cleanliness scores, efficiency, and departmental performance.
  • Coach, mentor, and train housekeeping team members to enhance performance, engagement, and accountability.
  • Support smooth transitions during hotel openings, leadership changes, renovations, ownership changes, or staffing shortages.
  • Partner with Front Office, Maintenance, and Operations teams to ensure seamless guest room readiness and service delivery.
  • Manage inventory levels and oversee ordering, distribution, and control of housekeeping supplies, linens, uniforms, and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements, including OSHA and company policies.
  • Communicate effectively with property leadership, ownership groups, and corporate stakeholders regarding departmental performance and operational needs.
  • Provide detailed handover documentation, operational assessments, and recommendations at the completion of each assignment.

What are we looking for?

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive housekeeping leadership experience in hotels, resorts, or hospitality environments.
  • Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, labor management, inventory control, and quality assurance standards.
  • Experience leading teams through operational challenges, transitions, openings, or periods of change.
  • Proven ability to improve guest satisfaction scores and housekeeping performance metrics.
  • Strong leadership, training, coaching, and team-building skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively and work flexible schedules based on assignment needs.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with hotel property management and housekeeping management systems preferred.
