Lead Emergency Care at a Level I Trauma Center
Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse ready to take the next step into nursing leadership. As an Assistant Nurse Manager (Senior Clinical Advisor), you will partner with the Nurse Manager to lead clinical operations, support frontline nursing staff, and drive exceptional patient outcomes in our fast-paced Emergency Department.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced ER nurse, Charge Nurse, Clinical Leader, or emerging Nurse Manager looking to grow their leadership career within one of Connecticut's leading healthcare organizations and a nationally recognized Level I Trauma Center.

What You'll Do
- Support the Nurse Manager in leading daily Emergency Department operations.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and coaching to charge nurses and clinical staff.
- Coordinate staffing, scheduling, patient throughput, and resource management.
- Promote a culture of quality, safety, accountability, and professional development.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, performance management, and staff engagement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with hospital, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
- Drive clinical excellence through evidence-based practice and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Serve as the primary nursing leadership presence during weekend evening operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
- Experience caring for high-acuity emergency patients
- Strong communication, leadership, and critical thinking skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center
- Previous leadership experience as a Charge Nurse, Team Lead, Preceptor, or Supervisor
- BLS/CPR certification
- ACLS certification
- TNCC certification
- Specialty certifications encouraged and supported
Compensation: $91,624 – $146,640
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
