VP of Professional Liability Programs | Remote

Job Information

Our client, a well-established insurance organization, is seeking a Vice President, Professional Liability Programs to lead a key segment of their professional liability portfolio, with responsibility for business performance and growth throughout the Iowa market.

 

The VP will lead a team while partnering closely with underwriting, actuarial, claims, marketing, finance, and other business leaders to identify opportunities and execute strategic initiatives. This is a highly visible leadership opportunity for an experienced professional liability insurance professional.

 

 

Responsibilities

• Establish and execute strategies designed to increase profitable growth, strengthen retention, and improve overall program performance.
• Analyze portfolio results, emerging trends, and market conditions to identify opportunities and areas of concern.
• Lead and develop a team responsible for business development, sales, and other functions supporting the professional liability portfolio.
• Partner with underwriting, actuarial, claims, marketing, finance, and additional internal teams on product, pricing, staffing, technology, and growth initiatives.
• Present program results, business opportunities, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
• Oversee risk management initiatives and resources focused on loss prevention, customer value, and improved portfolio results.
• Evaluate competitive activity and product performance and recommend changes to underwriting approach, pricing, or product offerings as appropriate.

 

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in sales leadership, business development, or a comparable insurance management role.
• 5+ years of professional liability insurance experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, evaluate business performance, and drive profitable growth.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business strategies.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to work effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

 

Salary & Benefits

• $185,000 – $200,000 base salary + 25-35% bonus
