As a Laboratory Technician in the Advanced Analysis team, you will support IFF's global R&D organization by performing chemical analyses of food products and food ingredients using advanced analytical techniques. Working with state-of-the-art instrumentation, including GC-FID, GC-MS, GC-TOF-MS, ICP, and liquid chromatography-based methods, you will be responsible for sample preparation, analytical testing, data evaluation, quality assurance, and reporting. You will also contribute to method implementation, optimization, and validation activities, while supporting routine instrument maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives. Our Advanced Analysis team supports IFF's global organization by delivering high-quality chemical analyses of food products and food ingredients. The department consists of approximately 25 employees, including 13 laboratory technicians, working with a broad portfolio of advanced analytical techniques and state-of-the-art instrumentation. Through scientific expertise, innovation, and collaboration, we help accelerate product development and ensure analytical excellence across our global business.

Where You'll Make a Difference

  • Prepare, handle, and process samples for chemical analysis of food products and food ingredients
  • Set up, run, and monitor analytical sequences using advanced chromatography and spectroscopy instrumentation
  • Perform GC-based analyses utilizing techniques such as GC-FID, GC-MS, and GC-TOF-MS
  • Support to ICP.
  • Support liquid chromatography and related analytical methods including IC, CE, and GPC
  • Process analytical data, perform calculations, and evaluate results with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ensure quality control and maintain reliable documentation and reporting practices
  • Participate in method implementation, optimization, validation, and continuous improvement projects
  • Perform routine instrument maintenance and basic troubleshooting activities
  • Contribute to daily laboratory operations while supporting a safe and efficient working environment

What Makes You the Right Fit

  • Laboratory Technician degree or equivalent technical laboratory education
  • Experience within analytical chemistry, preferably across multiple analytical techniques
  • Hands-on experience working with analytical instrumentation in a laboratory environment
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality analytical results
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a structured and organized approach
  • Excellent planning and prioritization skills in a dynamic environment
  • Interest in analytical instrumentation, troubleshooting, and understanding how equipment operates
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with local and international colleagues
  • Good communication skills in both Danish and English, written and spoken
  • Solid IT skills, including experience working with Excel and laboratory software systems

How Would You Stand Out?

  • Experience with food analysis, carbohydrates, food ingredients, or related product categories
  • Knowledge of advanced techniques such as GC-MS, GC-TOF-MS, ICP, HPLC, UHPLC, IC, CE, or GPC
  • Experience with analytical method development, optimization, or validation activities
