Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Assist in reviewing commercial credit files to ensure compliance with financial institution policies and regulatory requirements.
- Perform testing and maintain documentation for consulting, compliance, and internal audit engagements.
- Identify exceptions and assist in documenting findings and opportunities for process improvements.
- Prepare workpapers and contribute to the drafting of client reports under the guidance of Seniors and Managers.
- Research technical and regulatory issues relevant to engagements and share findings with the team.
- Support Seniors and Managers in executing engagements, meeting project timelines, and delivering high-quality client service.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in commercial credit, lending operations, banking, or financial services.
- Exposure to banking or credit union environments, with foundational knowledge of credit analysis and underwriting principles.
- Basic understanding of commercial loan file reviews across lending products such as Commercial & Industrial (C&I), Commercial Real Estate (CRE), Construction, Agriculture, or Small Business Administration (SBA) loans is preferred.
- Exposure to credit/loan operations, internal audit, risk, compliance, or consulting engagements is an advantage.
- Ability to review and interpret financial statements and perform basic cash flow and credit analysis under guidance.
- Familiarity with Moody's or other financial analysis tools is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills with attention to detail.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear documentation and work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and provide high-quality client service. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
