The Project and Portfolio Management team is part of Sun Life Canada’s Finance function. We support portfolio governance, financial reporting, business planning, and initiative oversight across Sun Life Canada. As part of this team, you’ll work with key stakeholders across Canada to support quarter-end reporting, business planning, and preparing materials to help leaders make informed decisions. This role provides an opportunity to contribute directly to high-visibility work while developing financial analysis, stakeholder management, and executive communication skills.

Preferred skills

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with financial data, reconcile information across sources, and identify key insights.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to prepare clear, polished, leadership-ready materials.
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Organized with excellent time management skills.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program, ideally with a focus in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Support quarter-end Key Initiative reporting, including collection, validation, reconciliation, and consolidation of reporting outputs.
  • Assist with preparing materials for leadership governance forums, including value card consolidation, portfolio health updates, financial analysis, presentation refinement, storytelling, and supporting Excel files.
  • Contribute to capitalization process improvements by supporting workbook clean-up, sign-off tracking, and related process documentation.
  • Support recurring team operations, including stakeholder communications, ad hoc financial and governance analysis, and process documentation for ongoing team priorities.

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted for. The Base Pay which you will be considered for will vary depending on the Campus program you are selected for.


Eligible Sun Life employees for various Campus Graduate programs will also participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance
