Description
SMX is seeking a strong SAP Transportation Management (TM) experience on S/4HANA to support future-state design validation sessions for the Navy’s Plan-to-Stock team. This person must be able to shape the to-be design and the future state connection between Navy SAP TM and JTMS.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and actively participate in future-state design validation sessions with Navy P2S stakeholders, functional leads, system integrator personnel, logistics SMEs, technical teams, and related JTMS stakeholders.
- Review current-state transportation and stock-replenishment processes, identify operational pain points and gaps, and translate validated business needs into practical SAP S/4HANA TM future-state capabilities.
- Shape the end-to-end to-be design for transportation processes supporting Plan-to-Stock activities, from transportation demand through planning, execution, tracking/visibility, freight settlement, and downstream financial or inventory impacts.
- Define how SAP S/4HANA TM should support transportation requirements.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, transportation management, information systems, business administration, operations management, industrial engineering, computer science, or a closely related field.
- Hands-on SAP TM design experience in SAP S/4 HANA, focused on future-state process design and solution validation
- Ability to lead and facilitate design sessions that map Navy transportation needs into SAP TM capabilities
- Experience designing how SAP TM will work with external transportation systems (JTMS interface focus)
- Strong facilitation skills with business and technical stakeholders
- Minimum interim Secret DoD clearance required
Desired Skills & Experience
- Prior DoD or federal supply chain / logistics experience
- SAP EWM exposure is a plus
