Key Responsibilities
Warehouse and Logistics Management
- Responsible for the organization, management, and continuous optimization of all warehouse operations.
- Ensure the efficient receipt, storage, picking, and dispatch of goods.
- Monitor inventory levels and plan and conduct stock audits and physical inventories.
- Ensure accurate inventory management and record maintenance within the ERP/Warehouse Management System.
- Ensure the compliant storage and handling of hazardous materials.
Production and Filling Operations Coordination
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee filling and packaging operations.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturing instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality standards.
- Verify proper product labeling and packaging in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.
- Manage workforce allocation and resource planning across warehouse and filling operations.
Team Leadership and Development
- Provide both disciplinary and functional leadership to the warehouse and production team.
- Plan workforce deployment and capacity requirements.
- Organize, conduct, and follow up on employee training and safety briefings.
- Promote the professional and personal development of team members.
- Conduct performance reviews, development discussions, and employee meetings.
Hazardous Materials and Safety Management
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legal regulations and internal guidelines, including hazardous substances, occupational health and safety, transport, and environmental protection requirements.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and implement appropriate corrective and preventive measures to maintain a safe working environment.
Quality Management
- Ensure compliance with GMP, GDP, and ISO standards.
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all warehouse and filling processes.
- Support internal and external audits and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions where required.
Profile
- Completed technical, chemical, or commercial vocational training, supplemented by further education such as Master Craftsman (Meister), Specialist (Fachwirt), Technician, or an equivalent qualification.
- Several years of professional experience in a warehouse, logistics, or production environment, preferably within the chemical or pharmaceutical industry.
- Proven experience in leading and developing employees is desirable.
- Experience with filling, packaging, and manufacturing processes.
- Sound knowledge of hazardous materials regulations, occupational health and safety, and warehouse logistics.
- Proficiency in ERP and warehouse management systems.
- Strong sense of responsibility, accountability, and decision-making ability.
- Structured, solution-oriented working style combined with strong implementation and leadership skills.
- Good written and spoken English skills.
