Job Summary:
The VP, Ad Sales Marketing leads the development and execution of strategic proposals, solutions and packages that support Clear Channel Outdoor’s National Sales teams.This role is responsible for leading the team that partners with Sales to build presentation materials that enable Sales opportunities, both in response to in-bound requests for specific client proposals and proactively as a means of pursuing new business opportunities.
The role is a critical partner to Sales leadership, leveraging all of CCO’s differentiated capabilities and products to build customized presentations and proposals, both for specific client opportunities and as part of the strategy to develop new business across key Sales verticals and with key agency partners. Leading a centralized Ad Sales Marketing team, the VP ensures that Sales teams are equipped with compelling narratives, tools, and materials that accelerate revenue growth.
The VP partners closely with National & Regional Sales and Marketing leadership to build innovative media solutions, including sponsorship/activation opportunities, strategic partnerships and growth initiatives that align with Sales strategies and business development priorities, translating business objectives into actionable marketing programs that support both national and local revenue targets.
Reporting to the CMO, the VP oversees and develops the Ad Sales Marketing team, establishing clear processes for intake and prioritization of Marketing Solutions requests while fostering cross-functional collaboration across Product Marketing, Creative, Research, RADAR and Sales leadership. The VP ensures that all sales-enabling marketing materials reflect strong product fluency, differentiated positioning, and strategic alignment with CCO’s growth objectives.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the national Ad Sales Marketing strategies and programs to enable CCO’s advertising sales success with national agencies, brands, and programmatic buyers.
- Serve as a strategic marketing partner to National Sales leadership and Regional Marketing leaders to align around revenue priorities, category growth opportunities, and vertical-specific needs.
- Oversee the development of sales presentations, RFP responses, pitch materials, one-sheets, event packages, sponsorship programs, and scalable storytelling frameworks for National and Local Sales teams.
- Partner with Sales leadership and account executives as subject matter expert to support Sales in client and agency pitch meetings.
- Collaborate with Sales & Marketing leadership to proactively support business development initiatives through creation of sponsorship programs and enterprise-level partnerships that can differentiate CCO’s solutions from other advertising offerings.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Ad Sales Marketing team, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture focused on revenue impact.
- Establish scalable processes for managing and prioritizing Sales requests to ensure responsiveness and efficiency, while identifying ways to leverage technology to streamline/automate workflows.
- Maintain strong fluency in CCO’s products and solutions, ensuring sales materials accurately reflect capabilities and competitive positioning.
- Partner with Creative, Communications, and Regional Marketing teams to ensure consistent branding and execution across national and local initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
Education and Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, experience, or military experience. Advanced degree in related field a plus.
Work Experience
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in integrated or ad sales marketing within a B2B marketing, media, or media sales organization.
- Experience supporting national sales organizations and partnering directly with senior sales leadership.
- Proven success developing strategic sales marketing programs that drive measurable revenue growth.
- Demonstrated ability to build alignment and influence across cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders.
Skills
- Deep understanding of how advertising media is planned, bought, and sold across direct and programmatic channels, with clarity not just on how the industry operates today but also on the trends that are influencing its future state
- Strong storytelling experience, with a track record of shaping narratives and messaging that translate into compelling sales collateral, case studies, and customer-facing proposals & presentations.
- Strong strategic mindset with the ability to connect business priorities to marketing initiatives.
- Naturally curious about new AI tools and technologies, with an eagerness to experiment and apply them toward better productivity, collaboration, and decision-making.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development capabilities.
- Advanced project management skills with the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with Salesforce and ad media databases a plus.
- Familiarity with graphic design and presentation tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), or similar platforms.

The Targeted Compensation Range for this New York position is:
Min: $190K
Max: $250K
Bonus eligible, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.

Ultimate compensation will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, skills, scope and responsibility of the position, as well as pursuant to salary market benchmarks. This salary range is a good-faith estimate of the salary for this position.
