Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Entry Management in Totowa, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a financial institution location, you will help manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor activity, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a financial institution by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to the location by verifying credentials, issuing visitor passes, maintaining visitor logs, and directing authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Monitor entry points, restricted areas, and access control systems; report unusual activity, unauthorized access attempts, and equipment issues to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry areas, interior spaces, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 1+ years of law enforcement experience, 2+ years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or 3+ years of security-related experience.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
