What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel at a government juvenile services location by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and security-related policies.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, manage visitor access, and maintain required access-control documentation.
• Respond to incidents, prohibited-entry attempts, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, surrounding areas, and perimeter to help identify irregular conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Support emergency response activities in accordance with site procedures, including directing authorized individuals and assisting with controlled access during emergencies.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
