What you'll do...

Role summary:
The (USA) Manager, Record to Report, leads the month-end close process, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards. This role oversees complex account reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and risk management activities while collaborating with key stakeholders to support business objectives. The manager drives continuous improvement in financial processes, implements internal controls, and fosters operational excellence. By leveraging financial analysis and data management expertise, this position contributes to informed decision-making and effective governance within the organization, maintaining high standards of accuracy, integrity, and service delivery.
About the team:
The Lease Accounting Center (LAC) is integral to Walmart’s global financial operations, ensuring precise lease accounting and disclosure in compliance with US GAAP (ASC 842) and IFRS 16 standards. The team oversees key controllership functions including lease data abstraction, system reviews, month-end closing, rollforwards, and footnote disclosures. Operating within Enterprise Business Services, LAC collaborates effectively with stakeholders to support accurate financial reporting and compliance. The team is dedicated to maintaining high standards, driving operational excellence, and continuously improving lease accounting processes to support Walmart’s commitment to financial integrity and transparency.
What you'll do:
  • Oversee month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial reporting standards.
  • Reconcile complex accounts involving data from multiple systems to maintain data integrity.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including cash flow, balance sheet, and profit and loss reports.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate financial results and address reporting requirements.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and control frameworks.
  • Manage risk by applying internal controls and monitoring compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to resolve operational issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.

What you'll bring:
  • Extensive knowledge of financial statement analysis, including balance sheet, P&L, and cash flow correlations.
  • Proven experience managing month-end close processes and reconciling complex accounts.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, advanced accounting standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Expertise in stakeholder management, including communication and engagement with cross-functional partners.
  • Ability to identify process inefficiencies and implement continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency in risk management, internal controls, and governance frameworks.
  • Skilled in data management, metadata analysis, and ensuring data integrity across systems.
  • Demonstrated leadership in supervising teams and driving operational excellence.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
