Your Role on Our Team:  

The Project Leader serves as the primary business-focused liaison and drives the planning, coordination, and execution of high-impact initiatives that enable greater effectiveness and efficiency within the pre-processing Order-to-Cash (O2C) process. This includes quoting, pricing, item information through order entry and submission. The role will have a specific focus on addressing process improvements and breakdowns such as manual steps, errors, and logistical inefficiencies across the workflow.

This individual will lead and partner closely with Sales, Sales Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and IT teams to deliver projects that streamline workflows, enhance automation, and improve customer experience. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and problem solver with a solid understanding of operational processes and a working knowledge of related technologies.

You’ll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:   

Enterprise Program Leadership

  • Lead enterprise programs that improve Distributor, Sales, and Customer Service connectivity across key business processes.
  • Drive Order-to-Cash (O2C) initiatives from planning through execution, aligned with business priorities and growth strategies.
  • Own program roadmaps, project governance, and cross-functional accountability to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Influence stakeholders and project teams to achieve milestones and launch enterprise-wide solutions.
  • Provide leadership visibility through status reporting, risk management, and performance metrics focused on efficiency and cost savings.

Solution Design & Delivery

  • Serve as a key stakeholder in solution design, configuration decisions, and execution, ensuring scalable and sustainable business solutions.
  • Lead the delivery of new capabilities and enhancements that support commercial growth and evolving business requirements.
  • Identify bottlenecks and manual breakdown points in O2C pre-processing and design sustainable improvements.
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to enhance capabilities and ensure seamless integration with operational workflows.
  • Translate technical and operational issues into clear business impact for leadership decision-making.

Requirements, Testing & Deployment

  • Partner closely with business users, IT, and external partners to gather requirements, vet solution options, and translate operational needs into technical designs.
  • Ensure business readiness through comprehensive test plans, structured cutover planning, deployment coordination, and post-implementation validation.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance, visibility, and automation.

Documentation, Training & Change Management

  • Document process flows, integration designs, and configuration decisions to support knowledge sharing and scalability.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of policies, guidelines, and support documentation for Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, and external partners.
  • Develop and deliver training, communications, and change management materials for Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, and impacted business teams.
  • Drive adoption and integration of new processes and systems through consistent follow-up, communication, and training.

Cross-Functional & External Partnership

  • Serve as the bridge between Sales, Supply Chain, IT Solution Delivery, Analytics teams, and external partners to ensure alignment and successful delivery.
  • Coordinate across multiple concurrent projects, balancing priorities and managing dependencies.
  • Partner with IT to ensure consistent performance, data integrity, and transactional reliability across the enterprise.
  • Coach and mentor cross-functional partners in project fundamentals, building capability and accountability across the organization.

 The TOOLS you’ll bring with you:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain/Logistics, Information Systems, Operations Management, or equivalent experience
  • Strong understanding of Order-to-Cash processes and related operational workflows.
  • 5+ Proven years’ experience leading cross-functional projects and managing multiple concurrent initiatives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels

Other TOOLS we prefer you to have:  

  • Hands-on experience supporting transactions across procurement, logistics, distribution, or manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems (Oracle preferred), standards, and systems integrations
  • CPIM, Project Management certification, or equivalent
  • Lean Six Sigma training or process improvement experience
  • Proficiency in process documentation and integration flow diagrams (e.g., Lucid)
  • 3–5 years of project management or continuous improvement experience in operational or supply chain environments.
  • Knowledge of Milwaukee ordering and shipment processes.
  • Experience working with Distributor contacts to understand their needs and communication styles.
  • Prosci, PMP, PMI, or Six Sigma certification.
  • Experience with automation tools and process analytics.

  • Moderate noise such as talking, computers, phones, and printers

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time
