We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Software Engineer to join our ETF FFIO development team. This role is ideal for individuals starting their careers in software engineering who are eager to learn, build, and contribute to scalable applications. The candidate will work closely with senior engineers to design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining software applications
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
- Participate in code reviews and learn best coding practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and QA
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues
- Contribute to testing efforts including unit and integration testing
- Support deployment and maintenance of applications
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends
Required Qualifications
- Basic understanding of programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript)
- Familiarity with data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship or project experience in software development
- Exposure to frameworks, APIs, or cloud platforms
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Understanding of databases (Oracle)

Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues.
