Please note;

This role involves working night shifts; we welcome applications from candidates who are able to accommodate this as part of their working pattern, based on Hungarian labor law restriction.

The TAR Expeditor support role is responsible to procure critical goods or services from designated sources of supply for requirements generated by BP operations and manages Stakeholder relationship. This role plays a key and integral part in the procurement process that involves timely handling of Purchase Orders (POs) from approved requisitions, as well as the associated follow on activities related PO acceptance, tracking, change, and close.

In this role You will:

  • Accountable for urgent service delivery that drives effective Turnaround planning and execution to bp partners, suppliers and issue resolution.

  • Provide domain expertise to support crucial process activities and propose solutions for decision making.

  • Complete critical procurement transactions by managing requisitions, purchase orders, change orders and supplier validation. .

  • Independetly validate, monitor and handle queries. Lead escalations as the primary point for issues through detailed root cause analyses.

  • Immediate issue resolution management, make crucial recommendation for and implement preventive actions.

  • Create and analyze relevant reports, ensure data accuracy and completion and compliance. Challenge and make strategic recommendations for improvement.

  • Support relevant stakeholders with key business insights

  • Manage Collaborator relationship.

  • Support pivotal changes in services by managing the management of change process with Stakeholders – internal & external.

  • Help with analytical input / support on case for change proposals.

  • Self reliantly identify, manage and escalate risks as required.

  • Enforce compliance with policy and procedures, accurate and timely reporting to internal controls for which the team is responsible. 

  • Work with the relevant Internal Control team to maintain controls currently owned within the team and facilitate internal and external audit review.

  • Ensure strict compliance to relevant policies that may differ from country to country whenever possible, failing which may result in a negative impact on bp.

  • Constantly scans for improvement opportunities and implements transformative solutions that solve the most challenging and complex problems.

  • Support Squads to implement timely improvements in existing processes delivering better value and experience.

What You will need to be successful:

  • Bachelors’ degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Business or Supply Chain or related field.

  • Fluency in English.

  • Proven experience in procurement, sourcing/ materials planning gained in multinational environment.

  • Available to work in normal office hours AND US time shift on a bi-weekly rotation split-shift basis (US time covered 15:00-23:30 CET)

  • Deep understanding how the Refinery and TAR events work

  • Strong analytical skills; experience reviewing data and analyzing trends.

  • Strong Excel knowledge, Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle etc.)

  • Experience troubleshooting and identifying root cause.

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment.

  • Ability to prioritize work and change direction as needed.

  • Being able to work efficiently to a given process and operate within a team environment.

  • Language and Interpersonal skills with particular focus on client responsiveness.

  • Experience of working cross culturally and in an international environment.

  • Resilient and experienced in working in multi-faceted environment
