Description
Team Global Express is seeking multiple HR Drivers to join our Townsville team on a permanent full-time basis.
This is a hands-on local Pick-Up & Delivery (PUD) role, ideal for drivers who enjoy being active, working with customers and being part of a busy transport operation.
You'll work Monday to Friday, with start times generally between 6:00 AM and 7:30 AM. Overtime may be available depending on operational requirements.
About the Role
As an HR Driver, you'll be responsible for completing local pick-ups and deliveries throughout the Townsville area, ensuring freight reaches our customers safely and on time.
This is a physically active role involving hands-on freight work, so you'll need to be comfortable getting in and out of the truck regularly and assisting with the movement and handling of freight.
What You'll Do
Operate an HR vehicle to complete local PUD runs throughout Townsville.
Complete scheduled customer deliveries and pick-ups within required timeframes.
Undertake hands-on freight handling and unloading as required.
Safely restrain loads using straps, chains and other approved equipment.
Complete daily vehicle pre-start checks and report defects.
Maintain your vehicle and work areas in a clean and presentable condition.
Follow all WHS, Chain of Responsibility and company safety requirements.
Report hazards, incidents and near misses in accordance with company procedures.
Provide professional and friendly service to customers.
Work collaboratively with the depot and operations team to keep freight moving.
What You'll Bring
A current and valid HR Driver Licence.
Previous Pick-Up & Delivery (PUD) experience is highly regarded.
Previous experience in transport, freight or logistics.
Comfortable undertaking hands-on and physically demanding work.
Good knowledge of the Townsville area and surrounding suburbs.
Sound understanding of load restraint and safe freight handling.
Strong commitment to workplace safety.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently while being a strong team player.
Full Australian working rights.
