Job title: EMEA Sales Director — Power Generation (Data Center Market) Location: United Kingdom (remote/office hybrid) — travel up to 30% (EMEA) Reporting to: VP International Sales
Role summary: Strategic sales leader responsible for driving revenue growth, market share and customer relationships across EMEA for power generation products and services targeted at the data center sector. The role requires deep industry knowledge, a proven track record selling to data center operators, and the ability to translate technical value propositions into commercial outcomes.
Key responsibilities:
- Own EMEA sales strategy for power generation solutions serving data centers (gensets, UPS/hybrid systems, fuel/energy management, distributed generation, controls, services).
- Develop and execute territory and account plans for strategic, enterprise, and channel accounts across EMEA.
- Identify, pursue and close high-value opportunities with hyperscalers, large colo providers, enterprise data centers and critical infrastructure customers.
- Lead end-to-end sales cycle: qualification, technical-commercial proposals, negotiations, contracting and handover to delivery/operations.
- Build and manage strategic account relationships (C-level, energy managers, facilities, procurement).
- Collaborate with pre-sales engineering, product, proposals, finance and legal to structure competitive solutions, pilots and commercial models.
- Drive sales forecasting, pipeline management and CRM hygiene; report KPIs to regional leadership.
- Develop go-to-market approaches for local markets — direct, distributors, system integrators and OEM partners.
- Mentor and, where applicable, recruit/manage local sales resources or channel partners.
- Represent the company at industry events, customer forums and trade shows; contribute to product roadmap feedback.
- Ensure compliant commercial practices across jurisdictions.
Required experience & qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years’ sales experience in Data center, Mission critical power, or energy infrastructure; at least 5 years in senior/strategic account management or leadership roles.
- Proven track record selling to the data center market (hyperscalers, colocation, enterprise) across multiple EMEA markets.
- Basic technical understanding of power systems for data centers (generators, UPS, battery/storage integration, energy management, fuel logistics).
- Demonstrated success in selling complex, high-value capital equipment and long-term service contracts.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Established network of senior contacts within data center operators, EPCs, and channel partners across EMEA.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field.
- Based in the UK with legal right to work and willingness to travel up to 30% across EMEA.
