A Day In The LifeAs a key member of the GST HR team, the Talent Consultant I supports talent management, organizational development and talent development initiatives that build leadership capability, strengthen internal mobility and support a high-performing organization. This Talent Consultant I supports the delivery of talent, organizational development and leadership programs that help associates and leaders grow, strengthen capability and improve organizational effectiveness. The role partners closely with shared services and the Gulf States Toyota HR team to design, coordinate and deliver practical talent and development programs aligned with business priorities and GST's business strategy. Serves as a trusted HR consultant and program partner, translating talent priorities into clear, well-executed experiences for leaders and associates.

 

As a Talent Consultant I you will:

• Support the design, coordination and delivery of leadership development experiences for emerging leaders, managers and other leadership populations.
• Support the leadership coaching strategy by coordinating coaching programs, resources, communications and follow-up activities.
• Facilitate leadership and team development experiences using established content, tools and HR frameworks
• Incorporate practical development tools, future-ready skills and continuous learning into talent and leadership programs.
• Support the development and maintenance of leadership capability frameworks, competency expectations and development resources.
• Support GST's core talent processes, including performance management, talent reviews, succession planning and talent calibration.
• Partner with shared services and HR leader to assess talent and capability needs and translate findings into practical development actions.
• Coordinate and facilitate enterprise learning experiences such as Lunch & Learn sessions, leadership sessions and career development programs.
• Support skills, career pathing and development frameworks that connect talent acquisition, internal mobility and associate growth.
• Coordinate rotational, early-career and other development experiences designed to strengthen talent pipelines.
• Support internal mobility and career development initiatives by maintaining resources, communications and processes that help associates understand growth opportunities.
• Partner with HR leadership on culture, engagement and change initiatives where talent and organizational development support is needed.
• Apply organizational development and change management practices to support team effectiveness, alignment and successful implementation of HR initiatives.
• Prepare and maintain talent metrics, dashboards and program reporting to assess effectiveness and support continuous improvement.
• Use available HR technology and people data, including Visier where applicable, to support talent insights, workforce planning and informed HR decisions.

 

What We Need From You

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field Req
• 1-3 years in talent development, organizational development, learning, HR or a related discipline and/or equivalence combination of education and/or experience. Preferred
• Experience supporting leadership development, talent reviews, succession planning, performance management or related talent programs Preferred
• Experience supporting facilitation, stakeholder engagement and program/project coordination experience Preferred
• Experience using people data, HR technology or talent analytics Preferred
• Entry-level candidates with relevant education, internship or related experience may be considered.

Physical and Environmental RequirementsThe physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of the job, the associate is required on a daily basis to analyze and interpret data, communicate, and remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the work day and frequently access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The associate is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The associate must frequently move up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 25 pounds.

 

Travel Requirements20% Travel may be required for leadership development, team sessions, business meetings and other HR program activities.
