The OpportunityAs a Tax LLM - National Tax Services - Mergers & Acquisitions Associate, you will navigate the complexities of the global tax landscape, providing tailored tax services to optimize strategies, minimize risks, and seize opportunities for sustainable growth. Within our Tax practice, you will be part of a team that drives compliance while maximizing the bottom line for clients. As a Senior Associate, you will focus on building meaningful client connections and developing a deeper understanding of the business context. You will guide and mentor others, using your skills to analyze complex concepts and deliver value.
In this role at PwC, you will engage with clients to provide tax advice and support for mergers, acquisitions, and other business transactions. You will help businesses optimize tax structures, manage tax risks, and maximize tax efficiency. This position offers the chance to develop your personal brand and technical skills while navigating increasingly complex situations. You will be expected to anticipate the needs of your teams and clients, embracing ambiguity and using these moments as opportunities for growth.
Responsibilities
- Navigating complex tax landscapes to optimize strategies and minimize risks for mergers and acquisitions
- Collaborating with clients to design and implement tax-efficient structures and strategies
- Conducting tax modeling to assess implications of various structural options
- Integrating tax and finance systems to enhance data quality for reporting purposes
- Preparing and filing consolidated tax returns for affiliated companies
- Advising on domestic restructuring to validate compliance and optimize tax benefits
- Supporting post-deal integration to align financial and operational aspects of transactions
- Analyzing purchase and sale agreements to identify tax implications and opportunities
- Developing tax provisions and recording liabilities in compliance with accounting standards
- Building relationships with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored tax solutions
What You Must Have
- Currently pursuing or have completed a Master of Laws degree
- At least a 3.0 overall GPA
- Before starting full-time at PwC, meet the educational requirements and demonstrate a commitment to undertaking and passing Bar exam

Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
