Role summary:The (USA) Manager, Merchandising Business Analytics leads financial and data-driven analysis to support merchandising strategies and supplier negotiations. This role provides critical insights on product development, category forecasting, and promotional effectiveness to optimize business performance. Collaborating cross-functionally, the manager drives decision-making through advanced analytics, financial modeling, and reporting. By leveraging data visualization and business intelligence tools, the position influences assortment strategies and operational plans, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and customer demand trends within a dynamic retail environment.
About the team:
The Business Analytics role plays a critical component in driving financial forecasting, Open-to-Buy planning, and profit and loss management on the D96 Adult Beverage Merchandise Execution team. Collaborating closely with Merchants, Finance, and cross-functional partners, the team delivers actionable insights to identify risks and opportunities. By leveraging strong analytics, business acumen, and data visualization tools, the team supports strategic decision-making and enhances overall department performance. This group is dedicated to advancing business objectives through precise analysis, effective communication, and partnership, ensuring alignment with sales, profit, and inventory goals.
What you'll do:
- Provide financial insights and risk analysis to support supplier negotiations and decision-making processes.
- Develop and maintain department and category-level financial forecasts, including profit and loss tracking and budget input.
- Collaborate with merchant partners to analyze feature execution, product development impacts, and assortment strategies.
- Utilize data analytics and visualization tools to generate actionable business insights and support strategic initiatives.
- Lead markdown management, vendor analysis, and open-to-buy discussions to optimize inventory and sales performance.
- Prepare and present financial reviews and reports for leadership and cross-functional teams.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience in business analytics, financial forecasting, and data analysis within merchandising or retail environments.
- Proficiency in Power BI and other data visualization tools to develop actionable insights and support decision-making.
- Strong financial modeling skills to guide product development and category-level budgeting processes.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally, providing negotiation support and strategic recommendations based on data-driven analysis.
- Expertise in tracking profit and loss, markdown management, and vendor analysis to optimize category performance.
- Aptitude for leveraging customer insights and market trends to influence assortment and promotional strategies.

The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00 - $130,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
