About the Role:

The Marketing Director is responsible for defining and leading the overall marketing strategy for RX France, ensuring marketing is a key driver of commercial growth, customer engagement and business transformation.

This role leads one of the company's largest functional teams, bringing together specialists across Revenue Management & Insights, Communications, CRM & Data, Digital Marketing and Digital Platforms.

The successful candidate will build a high-performing marketing organisation that delivers measurable commercial impact across both established exhibitions and emerging digital products.

As part of the RX leadership team, the Marketing Director will also work closely with RX Group Marketing and Global Business Services (GBS) Marketing to ensure local execution aligns with global priorities, best practice and shared capabilities. Success in this role requires the ability to operate effectively within an international matrix organisation, balancing local business needs with global strategies.

The role requires an experienced marketing leader with outstanding people leadership skills, strong commercial acumen, excellent communication skills in both French and English, and a proven ability to influence senior stakeholders across local and global teams.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy & Commercial Growth

  • Define and lead the overall marketing strategy for RX France, ensuring alignment with business objectives, commercial priorities and Group strategy.
  • Drive sustainable revenue growth, customer acquisition, retention and profitability across exhibitions and digital products.
  • Champion customer-centric marketing practices, leveraging data, insights and market intelligence to inform decision-making.
  • Establish best practice in marketing planning, campaign management, pricing strategy, CRM, customer lifecycle marketing and performance measurement.

Marketing Excellence

  • Develop a high-performing marketing organisation with clear accountabilities, consistent methodologies and operational excellence.
  • Lead the ongoing transformation of marketing capabilities, embedding new ways of working, increased efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the effective adoption of Group marketing platforms, technologies, processes and shared services.
  • Define and monitor marketing KPIs, dashboards and performance reporting, driving accountability and continuous optimisation.

Leadership

  • Lead, inspire and develop a large, multidisciplinary marketing team.
  • Build a strong marketing culture focused on innovation, collaboration, accountability and measurable business outcomes.
  • Oversee organisational design, workforce planning, recruitment, succession planning, capability development and performance management.
  • Foster collaboration across Marketing, Sales, Show Teams, Customer Service and other key business functions.

Global Collaboration

  • Partner closely with RX Group Marketing and Global Business Services Marketing to ensure effective implementation of global initiatives and standards.
  • Represent the needs of RX France while contributing to the development of Group-wide marketing strategies and best practices.
  • Share expertise, learn from international peers and help drive marketing excellence across the wider RX organisation.

Executive Committee Responsibilities

As a member of the Executive Committee, the Marketing Director will:

  • Contribute to the overall strategic direction of RX France.
  • Provide marketing leadership on key business decisions and transformation initiatives.
  • Promote cross-functional collaboration across all business functions.
  • Act as a role model for RX's values, leadership behaviours and commitment to customer excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Significant senior marketing leadership experience within a B2B / B2C organisation.
  • A strong track record of building and leading high-performing marketing teams.
  • Deep expertise across modern marketing disciplines, including brand, demand generation, CRM, digital marketing, customer insights, data-driven marketing and marketing technology.
  • Strong commercial and analytical skills, with experience using marketing to drive measurable business growth.
  • Experience working within a large international or matrix organisation, collaborating successfully across local and global teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively at Executive Committee and Group level.
  • Proven experience leading organisational change and marketing transformation.
  • Excellent communication skills in both French and English (written and spoken).
  • A collaborative leadership style with the ability to inspire, coach and develop talent.

Primary Location Base Pay Range: FRANCE - Tour Vista €106,500 - €197,800. This role is covered by the Convention Collective Syntec, IDCC 1486.
