POSITION OVERVIEW:
Under direct general supervision, positively operates under a total task, team-based approach to move raw, packaging, and finished goods to, from and within a department using mechanical and manual means. This position will require
flexibility with shift and work day assignments to support business need requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Make product changeovers
Perform packaging size changes, minor repairs and adjustments on equipment
Operate, process, fill and package materials on production line equipment
Perform consistent quality inspection of products
Pack and palletize finished goods in a safe manner
Accurately complete all related paperwork
Use computerized inventory management system to select orders and input data
Maintain accurate inventories
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Under direct general supervision, positively operates under a total task, team-based approach to move raw, packaging, and finished goods to, from and within a department using mechanical and manual means.
Ability to move up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis and on an occasional basis move up to 100 pounds with assistance
Ability to perform basic math functions
Results-focused with ability to self-motivate and work under limited supervision
Demonstrated experience working effectively and accurately in a high volume, fast paced environment
Demonstrated ability to communicate and build relationships in a diverse team-based environment
Demonstrated ability to use logical thinking and independent judgment to solve problems
Excellent time management and organizational skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent
Proven mechanical ability
Fork lift experience
Demonstrated ability to read, navigate and interpret multiple computerized data collection, data entry and
inventory control systems
